The College of Behavioral, Social and Health Sciences (CBSHS) has developed an Embedded Faculty Scholar Program in collaboration with the South Carolina Department of Public Health. This groundbreaking initiative aims to foster interdisciplinary research and enhance public health practices across the state.
The program will allow faculty members to work directly within public health settings, bridging the gap between academic research and real-world applications. By embedding scholars in public health departments, CBSHS seeks to address pressing health issues through collaborative research efforts and innovative solutions.
Participants in the program will engage in a variety of activities, including data analysis, program evaluation, and the development of health interventions. This hands-on experience is expected to enrich the academic environment while providing valuable insights to public health officials.
Through this partnership, CBSHS aims to cultivate a workforce equipped to tackle complex health challenges, ultimately benefiting communities throughout South Carolina. The Embedded Faculty Scholar Program represents a significant step towards integrating academic expertise with public health initiatives.
