PARKERSBURG — A total of 45 nonprofit organizations in the Mid-Ohio Valley have received grant funding aimed at promoting the Sisters Health Foundation's vision of fostering “healthy people in healthy communities.” During its latest meeting, the Board of Directors allocated an impressive $483,000 to support various initiatives that address pressing community needs.
Among the most notable trends observed in this grant cycle was a significant increase in requests related to food assistance programs. This reflects a growing concern for food security within the region, highlighting the essential role these organizations play in providing vital resources to those in need.
The funding will support a diverse range of projects, from health education to direct assistance, all designed to enhance the well-being of individuals and families in the area. The Sisters Health Foundation remains committed to empowering local nonprofits, ensuring that they have the necessary resources to make a meaningful impact in their communities.
